Motorcity was something to me. I loved its characters, its setting, and its style. Not long before the show started, I started betting ideas. Unlike so many “ideas” I think up and forget about later, I decided to actually do with these ideas. For the next several months I worked on a story about Motorcity. It became a massive work that I wanted to share with all who would listen. Once the story was done, I planned to start typing it and started work on this piece as a kind of terser for things to come.
Then the show got canceled.
I did not take it well.
I just lost all passion and just stopped
But the ideas wouldn't stop-the just keep coming. So, with the new year here I decided, once again, to do something.
I guess I just need to step away for a bit.
Of course I now have to update my old stuff and actually type it now.
But hey, you got to start somewhere right?
As for the piece its self.
Drawing those cars was a pain. I also messed up on Chuck’s car. I guess that’s what I get for using a concept piece than a screenshot (not that I could find a good one).
I like the idea of it trying to look like an action movie poster and I thought using the golem exploding would look cool and still leave room for my message.
Really my biggest complete is how long it took to do.
Hope the next one doesn’t take as long.
Motorcity is produced by Titmouse, Inc. and Disney Television Animation.
Sorry for the late reply.
