After doing nothing for a year it’s time to get started on something I have been putting off. 2013 was a weird year for me creatively. The only things I did useful was get a job and finally got around to playing all the Metal Gear series, just in time for Ground Zero and MGS V (MGS3 is my favorite though with MGS4 as a close second).  Well no more! This is DeviantArt so I got to some art gosh darn it!

Well I am back in America after living in the Middle East for 2 years. Acutely, I have been back since last summer. I was just really lazy about updating my journal, but you already know that. I am in school, looking for a job, nothing special.
As for art, I have plenty of ideas, but as I said, I am lazy and have a ton of school work, but I get something up eventually, just don't expect thing anytime soon.
In any other case, I have joined the army….. The KISS ARMY that is!:headbang:

We'll I've gone and done it; I added a "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" (I can't believe I typed that with a straight face) to my favorites. Although I don't think it really counts because it's the main 6 characters as humans. jaynaylor.deviantart.com/galle… only added it because I am big fan of Jay Naylor Then again I already add something MLP related but only because I found it to be hilarious: tyrranux.deviantart.com/galler… this make me a member of the herd now? Am I now 20% cooler?
Ugh, forced meme jokes are forced. Okay, if anyone cares, :twocents: on these ponies. Despite being in my 20's I am still a big fan of cartoons, (Ed, Edd, n Eddy being my all time favorite). Now I'm not sure when I first became aware of this new Pony show; it was either the Internet Meme Database (knowyourmeme.com/memes/my-litt…) or maybe some fan art right here on DA. I wasn't interested in the show in the slightest and avoided it like the plague. Well, that was one day when I watched a clip of Dash doing a sonic boom (now that I think about it, I think the only reason I watched that clip was because the clip was set to Guile's Theme- and it worked well! Then again Guile's theme goes with anything). www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bjkM_…
After seeing that I got interested and deiced to swallow my pride and take a look. Here are my likes and dislikes
Likes
-The animation of the show is actually pretty good and I like the art style of the show. The main 6 characters are well developed and there different personates play off other well.
-The voice acting is great. I am a big fan of Tara Strong.
-Normally, I hate morals but the ones in MLP might be good for the intended viewers little kids.
Dislikes
-The theme song and the singing.
-The fact that they are ponies- POINES!
Bottom line- I don't hate the show, but I don't like enough to watch all the episodes, at least not one after the other, maybe when I am bored. It's at the bottom of my list.
Then I saw artwork of MLP on DA and found some of them interesting. At first I thought it would be stupid to fav something intended for girls; but then again, who cares what I think? If I want to fav an art piece I find interesting, Gog damn it, add it!

In non-pony news, Hey! Look at that! I posted another piece! A OC based on the wonderful art of  :iconstars-in-well:

I have ideas for more art with my oc but I will may be a bit busy this summer as I am moving back to the states (AMERICA F*CK YEAH!).
Let's see, what else to say? Looking forward to the new Thundercats cartoon (just finished watching the original episodes)!

Dang, it's been a months since my last journal update: to and one you cares, here is what I have been up to since last October.

A lot happen in October, about the middle of the month, I got word that there had been a death in the family, but not a person per say. My sweet old cat Sassy had died a natural death. I had that cat since I was in the first grade! She was too old to make the trip with us to the UAE so she stayed with a good friend of my mom. Sassy was well taken care of was happy. I am just glad I got to see her one more time when I when to the states last summer.

Near the end of October, the other shoe dropped. My parents informed me and my siblings that they were going to divorce. I felt-fine about it. I really don't care, they are adults and I will respect there decision. Beside, I plain to move back to the states this fallowing summer anyway and live on my own. Well, with by brother as a roommate anyway.

In December it was time for a family vacation (excluding mom that is). It was decided that we would go to Madrid, Spain; the decision was made by my younger sister (who only wishes to be know a "K", she's weird like that) because she discovered that 30 Seconds to Mars was having a concert there (she's a rally big fan of them). We left late on the 15th so my brother and I turned 22 at 3000ft. When we landed in Madrid, we went to Hard Rock Café to celebrate. The next day we all went to the 30 Second to Mars concert, the first concert I have ever attended. Now I am not a big fan of 30 Seconds to Mars, I only like a handful of there songs. However, I could not help my self but sing alone to the songs I did know, especially my favorite on song, "The Kill". The next day we went to the Prado art museum, my brother and I, both being big art enthusiast, stayed for hours and saw absolutely every last piece there! On the last day in Madrid, we just walked around all the open air shops and just walked around, seeing the sights. I did buy myself a fedora hat. Why? Because I always wanted one! We flew home the fallowing day.

And what was the first thing I did when I got off that plane? I saw Tron: Legacy. Fantastic! Love it more than the original! And the music-incredible! Daft Punk FTW!

After that, things have been pretty dull. I did take to long to sign up for online classes and now I have nothing to do this spring; but I'm sure my dad will find someway to keep me busy. :p At least that way I can work on my artwork more often. That was until my computer got a nasty virus and now has to be wiped clean-again! I don't even know how it got in there!

Well, that's about it-nothing left to say.

Well this is stupid; I have finally been able to get back on Devintart. A week after my return from vacation in the States and London more on that in a bit), I spent every waking moment playing all of my new video games and playing TF2. I wanted to finish as much as possible before the school semester started. Sure, it's online, but I get a lot of work to do so I am restated to the weekends to play. A week before school started, by computer gave me the dreaded blue screen of death! Took an entire week for the guys at my dad's work to fix it (mines everything I have ever done with it; that really pissed my brother off). In between school work, I was able to set everything back up, but then, a mouth ago, I could log into Deviant art!! Now I have to go thought over 3,000 new Deviantions! (My brother warned my about have watching too many Deviants but did I listen? NOOOO.) I don't know if it was a connection problem or something with my computer; frankly, I don't care now everything is back to normal.
London was nice, but I found it kind of boring. I guess the reason would be the fact we were only there for a four days. I did like the museums and the Dinner at Hard Rock Café (they had a guiltier previously owned by Jimi Hendrix! How cool is that!).
In terms of art, I have almost finished my last part of my JOJO fan art, just one last detail to finish.
One last note: the new TF2 Update.
First of all I do think it is nice that the developers do get some extra money, but I won't be buying anything; I am cheap like that. I just have to get the new stuff the hard way. Although I wonder how that dual mode works?
Secondly, I don't like some to the new weapons. My best class is the Demoman, so I am annoyed that he did not get a new update. Plus I look at the original contest used to decide the winners and I thought some of the designs were much more interesting than the ones chosen for the update. I am hoping that Valve goes back to those other designs for future updates.

Boy, it has been awhile, hasn't it? I'm on deviantArt everyday and I cannot fathom how some of you guys can make so much art in such a small span of time. For me, creating art is just a side thing I do; I only work on something when I get inspired, and that doesn't happen very often. I have a lot of ideas for art work but only work on them when I feel like it. After a year, I have finally posted only my second piece; thankfully, I have another piece already in the works, should have that done soon.

It funny, the year in between my last piece and my newest one has been very busy; moving to another county, collage work, but that's boring stuff. Just last Charismas, my family went to Rome! Saw cathedrals, landmarks, paintings, took tours, eat some the best food I've ever eaten; we did it all. I loved every minute of it (except for being stuck in a very small hotel room with my family, we were going nuts in there!); my favorite place was St. Peters Cathedral, that place was HUGE! However, my favorite moment came on the last day we were in Rome: for dinner, we went to the Hard Rock Café. I didn't mind the 20 minute wait for our dinner, because we had classic rock music to listen to. I swear our table must have been bugged because I said to my dad: "This would be perfect if they played some Iron Maiden". Five seconds after I said that, they played "Flight of Icarus"! Best vacation ever! Looking forward to Cairo this winter!

In the meantime, I seen some good movies, "Sherlock Homes" and "Avatar" were good. Also got the new Gorillaz album "Plastic Beach"; I didn't like it a first, but I have come to like it better than "Demon Days". "Rhinestone Eyes" is my favorite track. Now, listing to the songs (I know someone else on deviantart said this, sorry for not remembering who you are) a lot of them sound like love songs. Is it just me or are Albarn and Hawlett trying to make 2DxNoddle canon?

As of now, I am visiting my grandparents in the good old USA. I have been in the states for about a month; the plan is to leave the 1st of August and spend a week or two in London. I hate airplanes; they make me nervous; they always have, even before 9/11. Although, the plane ride to the States was pretty good. I flew with a new airline called Etihad. Leather seats, built in TVs in the seats, and the best airplane food ever (can you believe it?!), Watched "How to train your Pet Dragon" and "Book of Eli" on the way over". I've spent all my money ($400) on video games (my X-360 and Nintendo Wii are American formatted. Looking forward to Mass Effect 2 and Red Steel 2) and comic book trades (Finally got to read Blackest Night. Best comic book ever!). Saw more movies: "A-Team" was ok, I've only seen a few episodes of the original TV show but I thought it was well done. Also saw "The Last Airbender": ok I have seen the entire series of the cartoon and here are my thoughts on the film: I like the slight changes Shyamalan made to the plot, mainly about why the Fire nation went to war and I thought the change of the ethnicities was cool. What I did not like was the bland acting and the pace of the movie, it felt like it was going a little fast. Otherwise, it was ok. I hope they get a good actress for Toph in the nest one. Lastly, I saw "Inception" last week when I came out: I LOVEED IT!

Well that's about enough for me.

Oh I was able to get my Steam Account working again, someone hacked me. I was working on getting the new weapons and some hats before I left for vacation (that drop system takes forever). Sadly I missed the Engineer Update, no golden wrench for me!

Hey to anyone who will listen, I have a problem. When I not working on my artwork or doing school word, I play video games. My current favorite: Team Fortress 2 on my PC. However recently, for some reason I can't access, I can account my account. The Steam login won't accept my password (which I know is the right one) and it won't send me the verification code to change my password. I also can't seem to email Stream themselves. I could start a new account but what I'm worried about is I would have to re buy my games. I bout the Orange Box package plus Gerry's' Mod; I have only installed TF2 and Half-life 2.
I don't know what to do! Someone help me!

Finally! I'm back! I have moved far away from America to Abu Dhabi in the Middle East because of my fathers work. I could have stayed in the USA on my Wal-Mart salary, but I deiced to see this side of the world; to expand my horizons. After living in a hotel for 2 months and finally getting my computer working, I return to Deviant Art once again. The only problem I have now is finding a way for my favorite comic book shop to send me some comics (especially when BLACKEST NIGHT has started; I've waited two years for that!). Hopefully I can get some more art up, if I'm not to busy. Damn, it feels good to be back.

I thought it would be wise to mention it know, just in chase someone else tries to think of a stand by the same name. HA!I beet you to it!

When you here someone say "That was the wireds book I've ever read." say to them, "You don't know Sh*t!" becuise I am reading the wirest book ever! I found "Mrs. God" by Peter Straub in my college's massive library and it's freaky. There were three factors that made me decide to read this: First, the title. Mrs. God? Who's that? God's secret house wife?! The second: the auother. Peter Straub did a collaboration with Stephen KIng: The Talisman. I was going to read that after The Dark Tower, but I piked up the Stand insted. So I'll read "Mrs. God" to get a fell of Mr.Straub writting style (and see if I difuse his from King when I do read the Talsmen). Thierd point: the frount cover and the illastrations found thoughout the book. Stuning. Beautiful and haunting paintings by Rick Berry. As for the polt....WEIRD. The book tales the tale (fiction, duh) of a Mr.Standish as he leaves his pregnat wife to travle to England to study his last grandmouthers poerty that was siad to inspier the great poet like T.S. Eliont and other "first Class " poets. Unforshedtly Mr.Standish is pleged by strange and wild dreams. Not only that, he begins to see things that aren't there or hears a lady laughing at him from dark empty couners. To show how wired these dreams are, I offer a segment from the book. I like this part becuise is semmed to...I don't...flow...as if I could see it happpenong. It from the fith chapter in which Standish is in the mist of a strange dream. To tottaly understand, you'll have to read it youself. This is just a taste,
From page 84 of "Mrs. God" by Peter Straub
"And then Standish understood that he had lost everything. His familiar life had vanished, he was to be beheaded in this ugly and callous country, and the baby gasping on the table was not his baby. Black steam, ink, poison, filled his veins. He groaned- mingled terror and despair gathered at the center of his chest. His entire body became as heavy as water, as lead. He groaned again, at the end of his life, and in terror and despair woke up in a sunny bedroom at Esswood."

Werid stuff.

Holy Crap! I have been busy as hell! On the 18th I stated college and so far its not to bad. Fun classes, 4 storie libary, good food in the cafiteria; really, the only proplem I have is that its a almost a hour drive on the freeway to get there (pain in the ass). But I'm not here to talk about life, I'm here to talk about a promlem I seem to have. If you've read my earlyer jorunal entries, then you can probly tell that I like comic books. Last summer I found a comic shop close to my house (ok its a 15 min. drive but its still close.)and I have been buying comics like crazy. So, one day, I'm reading FIANL CRISIS ish. #2 and who should retun afer being dead for 21 years but the 2nd Flash, the one the only: Barry Allen! Now, for some people, this is a good thing. It means there is a chance Barry will have his own coimc agein. However, to me, this is a bad thing. If Barry has retuned then that means one thing: the curent Flash, Wally West may die. After relizing this, I relized somethig else, MY FAVORITE CHARITERS ARE THE ONES WHO DIE. In comic books or in animes I always seem to like the one that dies half way though the story. Examples: Indigo of the Outsiders, the Martian Manhunter, Maes Hughes from Fullmetal Alchemsit, and Kamina from Gurren Lagann. I think Im  cursed to like the ones who die. *sigh*

In case no one knows yet, comic book artist Michael Turner died June 27, 2008. He was my favorite comic artiest of all time. Heck, he was the guy that got me back into comic books. All I read for the pass 5 years was manga (I still do)untill I thumbed though the Superman/Batman: Supergirl comic and I was pulled right in. After that, I did some research on comics too see what I've missed (I know Wikipedia is'nt a great source of info, but it worked). So when I found out last week that he died of done cancer I was super depressed (it didn't help that the fact was it had been a week sence he died). The rest of the week was so depressing that I just got sick of it. Sure, I'll miss his incredible artwork, but whinning won't bring him back. I just relixed and went on with my life (in just a week!). All I can do is rember Michael Turners work as a souce  of insperation.
